Chicago, IL – February 20, 2025 — IoT Slammys Award 2024 has named Intellias, a global software engineering and digital consulting company, the “DEI Company of the Year.” The award celebrates Intellias’s commitment to building inclusive workplaces and promoting equity and diversity across all levels of the organization.
Now in their second year, the IoT Slammys promote leading IoT organizations that demonstrate leadership and industry influence. The award selection committee noted that Intellias takes a comprehensive approach towards embedding DEI into the core of the organization. Intellias’s DEI initiatives are consistent with the overall corporate strategy and values, which also stood out to the committee.
I am particularly proud of the fact that almost half of the women at Intellias hold managerial positions. At our core, we believe that diverse perspectives make for better business decisions, and that an inclusive environment is the only way to attract and retain top talent.
The DEI strategy at Intellias is focused on four key areas: gender inclusivity, promotion of family-friendly policies, support to veterans and inclusion advocacy. This covers:
- Gender equality: While women account for 28.4% of the company’s workforce, that number is growing consistently. Almost 48% of women hold managerial positions. Intellias hosts the annual She Is Tech Conference, which drew more than 3,500 participants this year.
- Family-friendly practices: Intellias provides childcare options and flexible work schedules, along with a support group for working parents.
- Veteran support: Intellias supports veterans through programs aimed at reintegration into the community and the workforce.
- Accessibility and inclusion: Intellias has conducted inclusivity audits across its offices and launching events such as UnSEEn Days, an initiative to understand visual impairment.
